Who we are

What we collect

When you place an order request we collect the name, email address, telephone number, company name (if you give one), delivery address and billing address you enter, together with the items in your bag and any note you add.

When you use the contact form we collect the name, email address, topic and message you enter.

Our hosting provider records standard server log data — IP address, date and time, the page requested and the browser user agent — as part of operating and securing the site.

We do not ask for, receive or store card numbers or bank credentials on this website. No payment is taken online.

Why we use it

To record your order request, confirm the price and freight, arrange payment and delivery, and handle any warranty claim or return that follows.

To reply to enquiries you send us.

To keep the accounting and tax records that a sale legally requires.

To keep the site available and to investigate abuse or technical faults.

Legal bases

Order data is processed to take steps at your request before entering into a contract and to perform that contract, and afterwards to comply with our legal record-keeping obligations. Contact-form data is processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in answering enquiries. Server logs are processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating a secure site.

Who we share it with

Carriers and freight forwarders, so that your order can be delivered and insured.

Our hosting and email providers, who process data on our instructions in order to run the website and deliver our messages.

Our payment provider, if you choose to pay by card link, which receives only what it needs to take that payment.

Our accountants and, where we are legally required to, tax and regulatory authorities.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for third-party advertising.

How long we keep it

Order records: seven years from the date of the order, to satisfy accounting and tax requirements. Order requests that never become a sale: two years.

Contact-form messages: two years from the last message in the exchange.

Server logs: ninety days.

Cookies and analytics

This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. Your bag is stored in your own browser using local storage on your device — it never reaches our servers until you submit an order request, and clearing your browser data clears it.

If analytics are added in future, a consent banner will be shown before any analytics script loads, and this policy will be updated to name the service and what it records.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it, ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to our use of it. Write to contact@virelliprojectors.com and we will respond within thirty days.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom you may also complain to your national data protection authority. If you are a resident of California or of another U.S. state with a consumer privacy law, you may exercise the rights described above without being discriminated against for doing so.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Order records and messages are written to a directory that is not reachable from the web and are accessible only to the staff who process them.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be described here rather than made silently.
